![]() ![]() Every song is very catchy and groove laden, laid on thick. ![]() I just went ahead & bought the live album which is the live Dynamo Show(also on dvd) and just downloaded the 2 songs from Amazon. I did order the version with 2 bonus songs as well as a few live tracks from the Proud to Commit Commercial Suicide album, however i got the original pressing of the album. This is no Green Day this is pure metal with somewhat of an industrial twist,it is not overbearingly industrial it blends well with this experimental project. The story is not like sappy whiney music it is raw in your face middle finger to the government & the system. Not in the sense like death metal where it is gore galore and offensive to people but this album is straightforward and pure distain twoards the "system" and the lyrics are honest & mean. The lyrics are some of the meanest, furious and aggressive of any other politically driven albums or any genre of metal. The mix of Max & Alex vocals are raw and abrasive, the 2 guitars grind back and forth to the beat. World of S*** is a very aggressive song that you could hit repeat 10 times on at least, every song is a very catchy political slap in the face. Very politically driven album that describes the distain of some of our politically influenced decisions. Sum of your Achievements is a really echoed song with like stomp start drum patterns that sounds like a constant stomp as the beat, the lyrics are straightforward about how the US dropped bombs in Hiroshima&Nagasacki. This is worth the 10 bucks for it,and that is for the remaster with songs from their live album Proud to Commit Commercial Suicide(recorded at the This is an album where every song gets heavier as they go along. This album is just so good, especially when you play it LOUD ! Killer aggressive songs like World of S***,24 Hour Bull****,Sum of Your Achievements,Wasting Away,S*** Pinata,Exploitation, Sick Life,For F***'s Sake,Sick Life and Police Truck(Dead Kennedies cover)This album has it all for fans of heavy music, good music, aggressive music you can stomp your feet and thrash your body too. Way before crappy radio bands started mixing electronics,samples&keys,2 singers and guitar players mixed in with wicked heavy drum beats and chugging thick bass tones. This is by far 1 of the most amazing albums by a killer combination of musicians,Max Cavalera(Soulfly,Sepultura,Cavalera Conspiracy)& Alex Newport(Fudgetunnel) a side project that redefined what some may call nu-metal but was way ahead of it's time. Point Blank is abrasive, in your face and loud as hell with the lid off. This is an ass-kicking album, that is full-on malevolent from the get-go. Relentless grinding riffs, and an industrial-strength percussive roar, the lyrics are uniformly nihilistic and the album is riddled with left-field samples that add a disorienting, dehumanizing texture. 'Exploitation' is a cover originally recorded by the English crust punk band Doom. The first track, 'Wasting Away', appears in the 1995 film To Die For. Also Dino Cazares of Fear Factory and Ritchie Bujnowski from Wicked Death are featured on the album. Nearly the entire Sepultura lineup is present on the guest list - both Andreas Kisser and Igor Cavalera are credited. The album combines the thrash-metal fury of Sepultura with the robotic industrial clangor of Fudge Tunnel - a big hit on the festival scene at the time. Point Blank is their only studio album, originally released in 1994 by Roadrunner Records. Nailbomb was a side project by Sepultura's Max Cavalera and producer/engineer Alex Newport in the mid-1990s. Limited 180gm audiophile vinyl LP pressing including insert. ![]()
